Pottery Wheel Hire
Once you have learned the basics of wheel throwing, why not spend some time in your own home practising what you have learned? I have an electric table-top wheel that can be hired, complete with the tools you need and a bag of clay. Learning pottery takes time and practice – and my lessons have to keep to the clock. Maybe the whole family could have a go!
When you return the wheel, you can choose up to your three favourite items you’ve made which I shall fire and then give them a clear glaze (or you could book a lesson on using colour on clay).
Pickup from – and return to - my Dorking studio. All equipment to be returned clean.
Weekend hire – pick up Friday pm, return Monday am £90
Weekday Hire – Pick up Monday pm, return Friday am £100
Longer hire periods – £25/day.

Firing and clear-glazing of three items (additional items can be added at £5 per item).
A security deposit of £200, paid by bank transfer, is required to be paid before collection and a Hire Agreement must be signed. I also require to see proof of identity and address (e.g. driving licence or passport plus utility bill).The deposit will be refunded, less the Hire Charge, after return of the complete package in good and clean condition (excluding the clay).
This is an ideal way to build on the basic instruction I can give in my classes, enabling you to hone your skill before learning more advanced techniques. Warning: pottery can be addictive!
