Vessels formed from white stoneware or earthenware clay, thrown and altered, coiled or slab built, using layers of slips, engobes and glazes which are often painted in layers on the surface. My composition is often spontaneous and is influenced by the shape of the pot and my mood at the time. The aim of my work is to evoke the essence of the oceans, the mountain ranges, deserts or icelands – the viewer interprets as they wish.
